Subsidised Travel 

If you live in a London borough, are over 60 or have an eligible disability you are entitled to a ‘freedom pass’ giving free travel on buses, trains, trams, docklands light railway and underground services within the London area after 9am weekdays, all day weekends and public holidays. (9.30am most national rail services.) Disabled residents have freedom passes with no age restriction.

  • Taxicard Scheme

Londoners with a mobility impairment can travel in black cabs at subsidised rates. With a freedom pass you are entitled to 60 rides each year; or 120 rides without one. Each taxi ride costs £1.50 until the fair reaches £11.80, and the whole amount after that.
