Stroke Trials & Clinical Studies at St George's
Research at St George’s
St George’s is one of the leading places in the UK for research into improving the care of stroke patients. We are involved in many studies which explore:
- why people have strokes
- how we can treat and prevent them
- how we can improve rehabilitation.
You may be asked to participate in one or more study. We are always very grateful to patients who agree, but this is entirely voluntary. If you are unwilling to take part it will not affect your care in any way. The local ethics committee has to agree to all studies before they start and most are funded by organisations such as the Stroke Association.
